Sales incorrectly showing Ended eBay listings and not actual sold

billandjoeebay 2 years ago updated 1 year ago 7

The eBay sales are not always correctly depicted, which causes incorrect data; specifically, the averages are skewed. When you click on an eBay sale, you will see right on the screen if it is an ended listing or a sold listing. This needs to be resolved, as it really showcases the incorrect averages due to this issue.

Dont delete the search field!!! Its making me crazy.

Your site required EXACT spelling, so sometimes I misspell a Pokémon and I cant just go change one letter, I have to retype the whole thing.  Please don't delete the search field.

Sold links with first image of item

Anonymous 2 years ago updated by billandjoeebay 2 years ago 1

The links for what was sold for a specific video game should have the first image of the item next to it. This will allow users to see the condition of the item that was sold after the link expires.

Add "Pending Review" labels to reported ebay sales and to manually added ebay sales so that users can know if a record is pending a review before removing, editing, or adding to Pricecharting

jtsuter 2 years ago updated by rocky4215 2 years ago 7

Background:

Adding eBay records is frustrating because I repeatedly add legit sales only to see them never appear on the item's records listing, even after multiple attempts over the span of days.  I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes.  The same goes for when reporting records.  I repeatedly report false listings, or incorrect listings (there are so many records with game and manual listed in the loose only section) and they never get removed until I send an email to the owner to have them removed.  There is a real lack of transparency.  This is a problem.

Acceptance Criteria

Labels for adding missing sales

  1. As a User, I want to ensure that every time I add a missing eBay sale, it shows immediately in the sales records for the item in real time with a tag or label stating (Pending Review).
  2. Then once it is reviewed by other users, it can be approved or rejected.
    1. If approved, then remove (Pending Review) label from the record, and the record remains.
    2. If rejected, then send automated email to the user who manually added the record and remove the record from the item's records.

Labels for reporting sales

  1. As a User, I want to see reported ebay sales given a label (Reported - Under Review) as soon as they are reported.
  2. The label displays until the record is reviewed.
  3. Depending on the action (edit category, delete, change to different item) once that action occurs, then remove the (Reported - Under Review) label once the record is altered/deleted/moved to its desired state/location.

Add HowLongToBeat.com to video game pricing info

Anonymous 2 years ago updated 3 months ago 2

The HowLongToBeat page is dedicated to collecting the duration of a video game until it is completed. They estimate how much longer your video game will last.

They measure duration time in 3 main categories:

Main Story: directly complete the main campaign mode

Main + Sides: complete the campaign mode + all sides quest

Completionist: complete the campaign mode + all sides quests + all collectibles in the game

It would be great if at least the basic data is added, that is "Main Story" so we find out just how long a game will take to complete, it is very useful when choosing a game to play since as an adult the time that we have is limited.

The ideal is to put only the duration of the "Main Story" since that gives a general idea of the minimum that the game will last, I think that "Main + Sides" and "Completionist" is only for a hardcore player and not the average game collector.

It would be nice to have that data here and not have to change websites.

Make the "Notes" section private only and hide it to viewers

Hi there,

I feel like my notes under each item are personal and I wish I could hide it from others when I share my collection.

Thanks

Increase the size of pictures

Anonymous 3 years ago updated by sales 2 years ago 6

It's hard to see what the cards are on the search screen. It looks like there is plenty of room left on the screen for at least a 2x increase.

You can click "Item Details" or scroll down to the "More Photos" section.  Then click the images there.  That will load the images in full size (up to 1600px if we have them).

Example of what that section looks like:

Add in stuff for the Nuon

cddaniel68 3 years ago updated 1 year ago 1

I noticed, there isn’t any pages for stuff like the Nuon games, so maybe they could be added in. Even though it’s a DVD player, it is officially a video game console. (I mean the R-Zone is here, so why not, right?! lol)

Add "Condition" (Loose/CIB/New/etc) option on "eBay Lot Bot" listing page (similar to "Lot Value Calculator")

Jim 3 years ago 0

I love how the "Lot Value Calculator" allows me to select the condition of an item (loose, new, manual only, etc.) to fine-tune the value of the lot. It would be nice to have the same option on the listing page reached from the "eBay Lot Bot" that shows the items for a particular listing.

For example, a listing might say something at the top like "All games complete in box" or "Game X is actually new and still sealed" that is difficult to automatically parse correctly, and so the item list will only use the loose value. In this scenario, I'd like to be able to toggle the correct condition for the items in the list in order to give a more accurate valuation.
