Sales incorrectly showing Ended eBay listings and not actual sold

billandjoeebay 7 months ago updated 2 months ago 7

The eBay sales are not always correctly depicted, which causes incorrect data; specifically, the averages are skewed. When you click on an eBay sale, you will see right on the screen if it is an ended listing or a sold listing. This needs to be resolved, as it really showcases the incorrect averages due to this issue.

Can you give me an example listing with this problem?  I'll look into it.

Here is an example for Paper Mario CIB on N64.

Thanks for that example.  eBay shows that listing as sold in their completed & sold listings searches.  I'm not sure the discrepancy on their end, but their search shows it as sold and their API shows it as sold.

Thanks for the reply, so will this be looked into? Will you reach out to eBay to see if it will be fixed?

I've asked them about it in the past with no response.

I'd hit the "Report" button, the community should get to it.

The community unfortunately doesn't know enough about this to determine if it is incorrect, even if it is reported. This is why the report feature should include a text value so that the user reporting can type a description of why it is being reported.
