Allow tracking for homebrew games

Anonymous 8 years ago updated by sales 2 years ago 5

Lots of "homebrew" developers have given older consoles an afterlife by developing and releasing games through web sites such as AtariAge.com long after the platform was officially withdrawn from the market.  I would love to be able to add my homebrew collection to my pricecharting profile.  While these releases are more difficult to track, that makes it all the more important and useful to have them registered with Pricecharting.

Yes, please do add any homebrew titles to the site.  Please add [Homebrew] to the end of the title so people know what it is and add a release date so people can filter out unlicensed stuff released after the console was discontinued.  Some people only want complete collections of licensed games.

I'm going to close this request though because people can add these to the site.

Let potential buyers contact a seller about an item to discuss the item for sale and clarify specifics.
Answer

This is live. Buyers can send sellers messages before making a purchase by clicking the "ask seller question" link on every item page.

Seller will be sent an email with the buyers question and the two parties can communicate back and forth as much as needed.

Let sellers upload tracking numbers on the site

Anonymous 10 years ago updated by sales 9 years ago 1

Upload the tracking number directly into the marketplace so it is stored for both buyer and seller. Automatically email the buyer with the tracking number too.

This makes it easier for both users

This feature is live on the site now. Click 'mark as shipped' on any item you sell and you can upload a tracking number and mark the item as shipped. Buyers receiving a notification email with the update.

Here is an article showing screen shots of the process but it is pretty straight forward to use.

Add Battle Spirits Saga TCG category

I have some cards from Halo of Awakening set that I’d like to add but there isn’t even a Battle Spirits or Battle Spirits Saga category option.

Add "Vinyls" as a new collectible item

Like the new coin price guides and trackers, how about Vinyl records next? (Probably starting with VGM based ones and working backward to other genres of music)

Add ability to rank one's wishlist items: Desirability 1-10.

Being able to prioritize which games, systems, accessories to acquire first based on desirability would greatly improve efficiency of purchasing efforts.

Reporting for Heritage doesn’t work

rocky4215 2 years ago updated by sales 2 years ago 4

The report functionality doesn’t work for reporting Heritage sales. I’ve found multiple instances were Heritage sales were incorrectly categorized, under the wrong game variant, etc. with no way of reporting it.

Track conditions of video games

Anonymous 2 years ago updated by billandjoeebay 2 years ago 4

When a user enters a eBay sale, there should either be an option to input the condition or when the data is scraped the condition from the listing should be utilized. This can be utilized for further analysis or even deciphering how one’s own game compares.

Add option to sort collection by issue/card number

Anonymous 3 years ago updated 2 years ago 1

Sort a collection page by issue number or card number.  This would be similar to sort option available on search and browse set pages.

Add Watara Supervision. It is not a console option on the list so neither games nor systems can be properly added by contributors..

Anonymous 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 2

Watara supervision was a failed gameboy competitor with over 60 games, three hardware revisions and released in multiple regions, including US, germany, UK, and some asian countries. It is currently not possible to add either the system nor the games properly.

Added backend support for this now.  Users can add any hardware or games they want.
