Add logarithmic vertical scale option to PriceCharting Index Chart

Anonymous 10 years ago updated by sales 8 years ago 2

This is standard for tracking price changes over time. Without this option, a price change of $5 to $10 looks the same as a price change of $100 to $105. With the logarithmic scale, the latter will look much smaller (as it should) since the logarithmic scale better represents percent changes.

add console sets for original retail releases as a sort feature

Anonymous 4 years ago updated by venomous_wario 4 years ago 10

Hi, I would like to see the ability to filter games by standard retail releases for each console set in the pricecharting base site and the collection tracker.  For example, the NES pricecharting has become bloated with homebrews, 3/5 screw variants, after-market re-releases, unlicensed games, etc.  The Dreamcast pricecharting has also become bloated with newer releases and hard to determine how close I am to the 251 North American retail releases.  It would be nice to be able to filter out the noise and look at just the original set of retail releases for each console.

Chart the historic prices for my collection

Anonymous 9 years ago updated by sales 8 years ago 6

Like you do for games, show a historic chart of the collection's value over time.

Answer

This is live.  You can view your historic collection values in a graph on every collection page.  We had data going back to middle of November 2018 and we record the value on a weekly basis.

Half Grades

Anonymous 4 years ago updated 9 months ago 7

Adding half grade (7.5,8.5,9.5, etc.) would be awesome in understanding the price differences between a half and full grade. Seeing a lot of 8.5 grades come back from CGC and the pricing compared to the full grade below and above is vastly different between cards.

Adding a friend feature

VenomRex 6 years ago updated 2 weeks ago 7

Lots of people use pricecharting to keep track of their wishlist's and collections. And I know lots of people who use it and want to share their lists easier. If a friend system is added, you can add your friends and you will be able to go to their profiles and view their wishlist's and collection lists without needing to ask them for a link. This can help compare lists to see what friends have in common or even be used to surprise a friend with a gift from their wishlist.

Add Asia region for Vita, PS4, Switch, and PS3

Anonymous 6 years ago updated by sales 4 years ago 10

I have a lot of Asia English physical releases I've bought from Playasia. These are pretty common among US collectors and not considered Japanese region. I'd like to start tracking these too. Can we add the Asia region for these 3 systems (possibly more systems later)?

Wish list

Anonymous 9 years ago updated by sales 8 years ago 8

I think it would be handy to have a wish list option.  And then when you finally own that game you can transfer it to your collection list.  I have a pretty extensive list of games I want.  Would be nice to have a separate list for that.

Answer
sales 8 years ago

This is live on the site now.

You can click '+Wishlist' button to add an item to your wishlist on any search, browse by console, or game page.

View your wishlist here

Share you wishlist with others so they know what  games you want.

And when you add a game to a collection, it is automatically removed from your wishlist.

Korean pokemon cards

Anonymous 3 years ago updated by sales 8 months ago 13

There needs to be accurate price data for Korean versions of Pokemon the same way there is for Japanese

Answer
sales 8 months ago

We have lots of Korean sets and cards on the site already.  We do not have the full card lists, but we should have the full set lists and users can add cards that we might be missing.

On the Pokemon home page, you can type "korean"  in the set finder tool and see a list of a bunch of those sets.
