Dont delete the search field!!! Its making me crazy.
Your site required EXACT spelling, so sometimes I misspell a Pokémon and I cant just go change one letter, I have to retype the whole thing. Please don't delete the search field.

This might need to be a setting we let users choose as a preference. There are some users who want the search field to clear every time because they want to quickly start typing a new search instead of deleting the existing search first. I'll have to wait and see how popular this is before working on that though.
Alternatively, keep the field and have a "clear" button on the right side of it. Many other sites do this (eBay iOS is an example).
Agreed, there should be some sort of option to set your default (clear, or keep search). But this functionality would be a great addition.
