Turbografx-16 Price Issues

arramdreyer 2 years ago updated 2 years ago 1

Turbografx-16 prices need a new category because the games came in a cardboard box AND cd jewel case. The prices vary dramatically between a game with the box and jewel case and a game with just the jewel case and instructions. I noticed people commented on this 5 years ago but still no feature for this. I am sure there are other systems that have the same issues. Here is one example from 2024:

Order of the Griffon Hu-Card game only from Ebay sold filter: 61.00, 85.45, 71.00, 90.00

Order of the Griffon in cd jewel case with manual but NO cardboard box: 214.99, 118.00 (damaged manual), 180.00 (What I just paid for it)

Order of the Griffon in cd jewel case with manual AND cardboard box: 480.00

I could list some other games but I think this illustrates the main idea, the cardboard box adds on a lot of value. Thank you for your time and effort.

Add "JP LaserActive" catagory

Eric Mason 2 years ago updated by sales 2 years ago 2

Hi!

I'm filling out the LaserActive category, and realized that there are actually a lot more Japanese releases that US releases. I actually own a couple of the JP releases, and some of them do actually have differences in artwork, model number, and releases, even different titles in the case of Road Blaster aka Road Prosecutor aka Road Avenger.

Can you please make a JP LaserActive category to properly separate out the hardware and games that go into these categories?

I've added this now.

You will be able to select that option when adding items after about 24 hours.

Thank you

Tracking for Non Game & Watch LCD Handhelds

Barg 2 years ago updated 2 years ago 0

Requesting tracking for handhelds, or retro home arcade/LCD systems, that aren't affiliated with Game & Watch. They range from seemingly bootleg offerings to some that boast some fairly custom body types and controls, or big IPs. I did notice that many of the Tiger electronics systems do have proper cataloging on the site, but I think these could be a value add and could help bring some of these systems out of obscurity while they are still around.

There are a number of these that can be highly collectible, and I've them all over the place in Japan in cases at Game shops. Some pictures of a few different ones below.

I feel like if not one category, there could be a category for Bandai, and Epoch at least as a start: as they seem to have made many of them. http://handheldempire.com/ seems to catalogue a number of them as well.

Add ability to set a "sold" price/value

jeramy usher 2 years ago updated 6 months ago 2

I am requesting the ability to set a "sold" price for items within my collection. When viewing the collection summary, sold value/total should be shown as a separate column and not calculated into the overall value of my collection, since I no longer own the item. This feature would greatly assist in managing my current collection and separating those cards that I have sold and no longer own, but still want to have a history of the item and its metadata.

Price charts that filter out fake and "for parts", severaly damaged listing.

More accurate prices for items that regularly have fakes sold like pokemon cartridges or are regularly sold as is, for parts like damaged consoles.

Correct the "shipping cost" shown on the Ebay Deal Scanner tool

Anonymous 2 years ago updated by sales 2 years ago 1

The Shipping Cost that gets added to the cost of the item is always some flat number like $2.50 or something like that.  It's never the actual shipping cost that the seller is charging.  So every listing that shows up I have to go to the ebay page to make sure it's actually as cheap as the Deal Scanner tool shows it is.  It almost never is, because it'll have $2.50 for shipping on PriceCharting, but the seller might be charging as much as $10 for shipping.

Exclude possessed games

In console list pages, I think it could be useful to be able to exclude the games (or items) already marked "in Collection", so we can have a list of things we don't have (yet)

Additional fields for games (Release price & languages)

Anonymous 2 years ago 0

Languages are important, especially with the many people importing games. It would be great to have a resource to check to help users understand if they want to purchase the game or not. For example, there are a lot of indie Japanese and other Asia physical games that support English. It would be also helpful to consider a filter for language in the future if this gets implemented. I understand there's a new Asia English category, but this doesn't help with Japan games.

Release price is helpful for historical data. It would be great to select the amount and the currency (to support the other regions. Although games are generally at $59.99, there's a lot of limited prints, special editions, and indie games that don't follow this amount. This can help for selling and buying to get an idea of the price if there's none that have been sold yet.

I understand the notes field can be used for this, which I have been using, but it gets really difficult to read, especially when listing special edition contents as well.
