More advanced search capabilities

rocky4215 2 years ago updated 2 years ago 2

As a user I’d like to have the capability to search within certain game categories. Like if I am searching for GameCube games, I’d like to be able to set my search settings to GameCube so I can search that category repeatedly.

Add report reason in historic prices

Pedro 2 years ago updated by rocky4215 2 years ago 1

I believe it would be beneficial for reviewers to be informed of the reasons behind a user reporting a historical price.

I have noticed numerous instances where USA titles are listed under PAL sales. I report these discrepancies, but they often reappear. It is possible that the administrator or reviewer may not be aware of this issue.

Add what language games support.

There is no solid database for game language support. Since this a user maintained database anyway, it would more convenient if this could be a hub for seeing what languages games and regional variants have on them.

CAN WE EDIT FOLDER NAMES IN "MY COLLECTION"?

Amy D 2 years ago updated by sales 2 years ago 2

1. FOLDERS:

  • THANK YOU!!!  In my opinion, Folders are likely the best improvement I've seen from P.C. to date, and I'm well into updating my collection!
  • The biggest hurdle that kept from using P.C. as my go-to for selling (consoles, games, etc.) was the inability to separate & filter Collection Items from Sale Items.  We are collectors first, and till now, we have gotten the most value from PriceCharting by using it as an asset management tool for our personal collection. We clean, restore, and repair games & consoles to offset some of our collecting costs, but our selling volume is low, comparatively, so we chose to to sell elsewhere.  Now, with custom folders, I am adding my selling inventory to P.C., too. Yay!!!

2. EDIT FOLDERS

  • The way this was implemented surpassed my expectations!  That said, I have searched and searched, and I can't figure out how to EDIT FOLDER NAMES.  If this is already an option, disregard and point me in the right direction.  If this is not available, is there any word on if or when it might be?

Thank you for your time.

allow "OR" in collection search

dijourno 2 years ago 0

When searching my collection, I would like to have multiple "include only" choices.  For example, to find all games in my collection for a specific console that are "CIB" or "New and Sealed".

Seems like "Filter By Console" might also benefit from choosing multiple.

Better data pulls from Ebay and Updated japanese prices

Poke_Rat 3 years ago updated by DGAF88 3 years ago 2

I spend a lot of time on this site pricing Pokémon cards. Price Charting has a real opportunity to be #1 over TCG if they would put a little work in. When I open a card 90% of the sales data is no longer available. I report but nothing changes. I also see a ton of missing sales info from eBay. Japanese card prices are hit and miss and shouldn't be difficult if data is pulled from TCG and eBay. Id even be willing to help remove bad listings and add good ones if needed since I am on the site so much.

Have a "recent searches", "search history", or "recently viewed"feature

Nintendeaux 3 years ago 0

It would be helpful to have the search bar auto-fill the last few searches to quickly go back to something you were just looking at.

In the same way, maybe have the option for a side bar or something with the search history or "recently viewed" items.

Either (or both) of these would be great when you are at a store or a con, checking sales, prices, or if you can't remember if you have a certain item.  I do this dozens of times, and end up buying a good chunk of what I looked up.  It would be so much easier to find that item again quickly based on I viewed or searched for in the past day or two, and adding it to my collection.
