Add price guide for the original Electronic Games Magazine from 1982

Anonymous 3 years ago 0

These are very collectable. 40 years ago. Wow, how can that be. I think it would be a nice edition for us old school gamers that didn't grow up on Nintendo Power. It covered Atari 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision and much more.

Label non-greatest hits/player’s choice games specifically as “Black Label”

Tristan 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 1

I am aware that PS1/PS2 games have “Greatest Hits” entries and GameCube games have separate “Player’s Choice” entries already, but a lot of the time sales of GH/PC versions of games are lumped in with the regular entries.

This usually isn’t a problem, but it is one in some cases where the original print of a game is considerably more valuable than the GH/PC version is.

For instance, the black label version of the first Crash Bandicoot goes for as much as $60 on eBay as opposed to the less valuable Greatest Hits version, but because there are several eBay sales that aren’t explicitly marked as “Greatest Hits”, they get put in with the black label version. This leads to the average CIB value for Black Label CB1 being $32, far less than the actual value of this version of the game. Look through the recent CIB sales on the page and you’ll see what I mean.

As such, I propose that for at least certain games, the title should be changed to say “[Greatest Hits]”, “[Player’s Choice]”, etc. to ensure they’re categorized correctly. This maybe doesn’t need to be done for every game, as in many cases it makes very little if any difference, but at the least some special cases could be made for games whose non-GH/PC versions are notably higher in value, such as Crash Bandicoot.

I see this has already been done with Rayman, another game whose Black Label (jewel case) release is considerably more valuable than the Greatest Hits version. I’m unsure if there are too many other cases that would warrant such a change, but I believe we should at least do it with Crash since it is a pretty substantial difference in value.

I look forward to hearing people’s thoughts. Thanks!

Add a high, low, and average value display option on the monthly historic price chart

jtsuter 3 years ago 0

It would be useful to see the price of a game per month in terms of the following:

Per month:

  1. Show the highest price sold
  2. Show the lowest price sold
  3. Show the average price

This is like a stock market candlestick chart without the beginning value and ending value.  It would look something like a cross instead of a candlestick with a body.  The reason is because the average price doesn't tell you everything.  We still want to see what the highest price and lowest price sold was in any given month.

List games for sale from your collection page

I’d like to sell my games straight from my collection instead of going over to the sell part of the website. I like seeing all my inventory in front of me rather than leaving it and looking back over and over

Selling collections according to filters

teri weakley 3 years ago updated by Terry 3 years ago 2

Hi--

Thank you for adding a feature to sell entire collections.

Might it be possible to add selling features  according your search filters? I.e. by both category and by console?

Thank you for considering

Add a ‘’Like New’’ option

Anonymous 3 years ago 0

If possible you should add a ’Like new’’ option. Games that are like new should not be priced the same as scratched up games with a wrinkled manual, this might be difficult to get data on for you guys. I would just really like that option because the value of my collection is a lot higher than what shows.

Add Item Serial Code to Items

jtsuter 3 years ago updated 2 years ago 1

I record the actual item code for all my manuals, cartridges, boxes, and other inserts.  Some examples of SNES cartridges, manuals, boxes, include:

SNS-ARJE-USA
SNS-E5-USA
SNS-CM-USA

There are various box, manual, and cartridge variants which I would like to track and the way to do that is via the Serial Codes.  Please include on the importer and exporter.

Add "Cost" to item importer

jtsuter 3 years ago 0

I have a massive spreadsheet with the cost of each item which I would like to automatically import when importing bulk items.  It's painstaking to have to go in and manually enter the cost of each and every item after a bulk import.

Games I Don't Want/Like (opposite of Wishlist)

amcferron85 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 1

I would like to see a feature similar to a Wishlist, but it would be more of an avoid list. I use pricecharting to keep track of my collection (it's very large). Recently, I've begun to replay (or play) my whole collection and get rid of games I do not like enough to keep. I would love an option to check off or avoid a game so that I do not buy it again in the future. Some games look or sound way cooler than they are. I'd like to have a way to prevent Mr from repurchasing games. A list to help me keep track of games I've played, don't like, and never want to purchase (or repurchase accidentally). Right now I need to use a different app for this.

Add a category Consoles

dhijlkema 4 years ago updated 3 years ago 2

Nowadays we see more Consoles and their variations being added in the lists, but they are all marked as 'Videogames' in the category list. I hope its possible to add a new category 'Consoles' so we can look them up more separately. There are still a lot of variants of Consoles missing, but they are being sold on ebay/amazon/etc. I often wander what they are actually worth and hope we can see that here in the near future.
