Correct the "shipping cost" shown on the Ebay Deal Scanner tool

Anonymous 1 year ago updated by sales 1 year ago 1

The Shipping Cost that gets added to the cost of the item is always some flat number like $2.50 or something like that.  It's never the actual shipping cost that the seller is charging.  So every listing that shows up I have to go to the ebay page to make sure it's actually as cheap as the Deal Scanner tool shows it is.  It almost never is, because it'll have $2.50 for shipping on PriceCharting, but the seller might be charging as much as $10 for shipping.

Unfortunately, the actual shipping cost isn't know for most items.  Sellers will usually have calculated shipping costs or a flat, free shipping cost.  The calculated shipping depends on the buyers location and it will change for each user.

I will make a note of this though and think about other ways we could improve this.
