You can do that now by clicking "USD" link in the upper right corner and then choosing your currency of choice.

Thank you for this suggestion.  Right now you can contact the buyer and make an offer that way.  It is slightly different than ebay process and not as streamlined (seller can't accept in one click), but it is possible right now.

I'll leave this open to see how popular a more formal process would be with users.
