Allow filtering for game gear games by searching for "GG"

shazter 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 1

The search feature allows filtering for "GBA" "GBC" etc. so it'd be nice to have something similar for the game gear with "GG"

I've made the change needed to do this in the backend.  It won't be live on the site for a couple weeks though as we roll this out to all the games.

Games collection overview (stats breakdown per system)

Feystag 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 1

I'd love to see a screen that showed a breakdown for each game system, it could show the total number of titles I own and the total value for each.

It would also be great if it could group regions together, so I can see stats for my whole 3ds collection rather than multiple stats per region.

Something like what you describe is already possible in collections.  Here is a link to the admin page showing all the NES games and count and the value.

https://www.pricecharting.com/offers?status=collection&seller=dx2vp7qam7omfdwgu7jk6mw4f4&sort=starts&category=video-games&console=G17&condition-id=all

To get to that page I filtered my collection with the "Sort/Filter" box.

I selected "Video Games" for "Category"

Then "NES" for "Console"

Would be pretty cool if a Funko pop collection could be tracked thru pricecharting.

I agree.  Closing as a duplicate though.  Please vote for the existing request.

Seperation of game guides and accessories in Collections

Majora170 3 years ago 0

Submitting for the ability to add separate tabs in the collection screen that can have game guides, accessories, systems, etc. to be able to properly be able to organize in a more consistent way. This way you can easily see what of these specific items you have and can more easily add in items when creating a new collection. This would also allow you the ability to see your collection total for just those specific items.

sortable hot list

Can you make the hot list tab sortable by system? Personally, I dont really have a need for the PC game and card games listed on it.

CRT TVS/Monitors to database

Dvrd6s 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 1

Hello Pricecharting and any other users reading this. I love this website as it makes it easier to find out how much money I should spend on a game/console I want in my collection and helps me keep track of my collecting and it's value. Recently, I have gotten myself a 20 inch CRT with the remote included and with a lot of inputs and a image quality that makes my collection stand out. I love it.

However, I feel like not a lot of people still know the worth and demand of those old tv's and usually just throw them out. I feel like if you added a CRT TV/Monitor section, more people will find their worth in the retro gaming world as their usually associated with it and find that they can find out they can still be useful and keep them if their collectors or sell them to other collectors. It will also help the environment and this websites reputation as CRT's don't really have any online marketplace and people will just throw them out probably harming the environment as even if some stuff does get recycled, I imagine any plastic or worthless stuff gets thrown in the ocean harming sea life (I know that CRT's take up a lot of electricity though but more people are switching to more eco-friendly ways like solar panels and most people just power them off when their done.)

This may be hard however since CRT's models are harder to keep track of but I feel like adding it will be a good idea for the website. However, even if you don't add the CRT database, I still love this website and will always continue to actively use it.
