Block International Shipping
Is there a way to keep our sales to domestic sales only, in this case USA?
I had a buyer purchase a game and the Domestic cost of shipping is $3.49 with tracking via USPS Media Mail, but is $14.11 to ship it to Canada which was 45% of the purchase price of the game. I have contacted the buyer to see if they were willing to cover part of the shipping cost, but if that is the case I would have to raise the sale price of everything by at least $14 just to cover shipping internationally!

Sorry for this problem. You cannot block international shippers at this time. Can you give me a link to the item you sold? I want to look into this and see what we can do to resolve this so sellers don't pay a ton extra without being compensated.
Thank you

The seller and I agreed for me to refund the purchase price (which has been done, but I did end up eating the PayPal fees on the transaction after the refund). My percentage of cost was exaggerated based on my frustration at the time, my apologies. At $14.11 it was 32.8% of the sale price.
Thanks for the example. The buyer paid $10 extra for shipping to Canada. A buyer from USA would have paid $33.06. The Canadian buyer paid $43.06. This additional shipping fee paid is listed on the site (should be note next to the price when you see the buyer's address).
So assuming you would pay $4 to ship in the US, you would have $29.06 after shipping if sold in the USA.
After shipping to Canada the total would have been $28.95. Definitely a difference but pretty small.
Did you not realize that the buyer paid extra for shipping already?
Do you see that $10 extra note on the item now?
No I did not see that, and unfortunately still do not see it there. I feel the shrew at this point, my apologies. I still can not see where there is a difference on either the PayPal invoice or on the transaction tab.
Truthfully I don't recall what price I listed the game at originally, but PayPal, the PayPal invoices for payment received, and the sold page all indicate $43.06 paid by the buyer. If I had listed it for $33.06, where does it indicate they paid an additional $10 for shipping? Chances are I am completely blind and just cannot locate it.
My apologies again for my ignorance, and thank you for your assistance with this
Here is a screenshot of what I see. The red highlighted part isn't on the page I just highlighted it to draw your attention to that section. I can't see your exact view as the seller. Does that appear on the page for you when you visit that page?
It does not show that on the page, nor did I see anywhere in writing that an additional $10 was added for shipping on either the PayPal receipt, or the page indicating sale. I have also been unable to locate where on the site it indicates buyers would be charged an additional charge for international shipping. It is entirely possible I overlooked it however but would be great if that was indicated somewhere for the buyer to see as well. Truthfully I forgot what I listed the item for as I listed multiple units, and had I realized it included an additional $10 in shipping I would not have arranged a refund to the seller.
It is not indicated on the PayPal invoice either and the page I can view looks like this:
Thank you.
Ah, I see the issue! It appears that the shipping note is not visible in Dark Mode! Toggle off Dark Mode and it should be visible now. Looks like this will need to be fixed for Dark Mode users.
Great find. This has been fixed in test server so the text will appear in dark mode. Site will be updated with the next server update.
You right it doesn't show up on dark mode (unless you highlight the text). Toggling dark mode off does indeed show it there! Thank you for pointing that out to me, and at least we found an issue that has an overall impact on site visibility.
I also never saw anything on the site while listing it that it applied an additional $10 for international shipping. That may be another area to consider looking at while in dark mode.
