Add ability to edit the name / title of the existing entries.

Anonymous 4 years ago updated by sales 9 months ago 4

I noticed there are some entries that are not listed correctly and I wanted to be able to edit them to conform with the naming of other similar entries. In particular there is the Taco Bell Limited Edition but there are actually two Taco Bell Xbox One X systems. Eclipse (which I recently added) and Platinum (which you have listed as Xbox one X - Taco Bell Limited Edition). also I noticed there are two entries for the same Gears 5 Limited Edition. Im guessing someone didnt notice one was already there and made a new one. The duplicate should be removed and the existing one should follow the same naming structure as the others. In fact all of the systems should follow a similar standard. Some are either missing the proper designation or have it in a different place within the title compared to others. Sorry... organization is my thing.

We don't give users the ability to edit names because that changes the url of the product and we want to follow certain naming conventions too.  We try to correct those as users add them, but some do slip through the cracks.  I've fix the title for these two Taco Bell variants.  If you think the Platinum version should say something else.  Please give me the exact name you think we should use and I'll make that adjustment.

Rename Super CD-ROM to TurboGrafx CD and add it to Other Systems menu

Arjak 4 years ago updated 4 years ago 8

Ever since the Turbografx-16 section was divided into HuCard and CD games, it has become a complete mess. Not only has the CD section been named Super CD-ROM, which is factually inaccurate as only certain TurboGrafx CD games were Super CDs, but because the section has never been added to the Other Systems menu, it has become difficult to find and add games from this system to collections. This has also led to CD games being added to the HuCard section which only increases the confusion.

I propose the following changes: First, rename the Super CD-ROM sections to TurboGrafx CD and JP PC Engine CD, as these are more general terms applicable to all games in their sections. Second, the TurboGrafx CD page must be added to the Other Systems menu, so that it has proper visibility to the general public Third, both the TurboGrafx-16 and TurboGrafx CD sections must be properly curated so that both libraries are properly sorted and labeled.

I've change the name of both consoles in the database.  I also added the Turbo CD to the 'other' dropdown menu.  That will go live with the next server update.

You can start the curation portion of that work to clean-up that portion of the site.  If you don't have contributor privileges yet let me know.

For the Atari 2600 smurfs save the day and Berenstain bears there should be a category for the cassettes

For the 2 games listed above. They each come with 3 cassette tapes. Having these tapes would increase the value the collection

Change game condition and content for lot tool.

elvandar 4 years ago 0

When checking a lot calculator, have the ability to individually change the condition and content of the games in the lot. Currently lots are calculated only with cartridge only. Most lots have a mixed bagso it would be helpful to be able to edit individually.

Collection improvements. Include carts such as everdrive and allow adding systems and games for collection tracking that haven't been added already.

Currently you can only use what has already been added and the tracking isn't accurate. Adding "close enough" items isn't accurate.

I've added this now.

It looks to be worth about $40-45 when loose.  Probably $100+ when brand new (but no sales data for that yet).

Thanks for kind words about the site too.
