title. both games use the same UPC, therefor, I cannot add the Limited Edition version due to "error upc is already in use"

The system does not allow duplicate UPC. You should leave the UPC blank on the limited edition. Lots of variants have the same UPC but we link to the variant on the game page. We can't add the game with the UPC though. Sorry
