I’m not sure if this is already a feature and it’s not really needed but you might be able to add consoles to your collection.

You can already add consoles to collections.  You click the "+Collection" button on the console like you would any other item.  You can quickly find consoles for a particular system by filtering by genre for "Systems".  It will show a list of consoles like this for NES.
