Request Change / Contact Admin from Item (detail) Interface
Request Change / Contact Admin from Item Interface
As a contributor who notices incorrect or outdated information, I want to be able to directly contact an admin or moderator from within an item page, so I can easily report issues and request corrections without needing to search for contact details manually.
Current Problem
At the moment, reporting incorrect item information is not intuitive. Contributors do not know:
- who the admins or moderators are,
- which contact method should be used,
- or which email address from the general “Contact Us” page is appropriate for item correction requests.
This creates unnecessary friction and discourages contributors from reporting mistakes.
Proposed Solution
Add a “Request Change” or “Send Message” button directly on each item page.
When clicked, the button should:
- open a modal or popup window,
- contain a textarea/input field for the contributor’s message,
- optionally include the item ID/title automatically,
- and send the request directly to admins/moderators responsible for reviewing content updates.
Benefits
- Makes reporting incorrect titles or metadata significantly easier
- Encourages community contributions and quality control
- Reduces confusion around who to contact
- Keeps contributors inside the interface instead of redirecting them externally
- Creates a more streamlined moderation workflow
Suggested UI Flow
- User opens an item page
- User clicks “Request Change”
- Modal opens with:
- short explanation text
- textarea for the issue/request
- submit button
- Admin/moderator receives the request with linked item reference
Optional Improvements
- Add predefined categories such as:
- Incorrect title
- Wrong metadata
- Duplicate item
- Missing information
- Other
- Allow users to track the status of submitted requests
- Show confirmation after submission

-> all pokemon card entries that fall in this one should be able to get updated from [Countdown Calendar] to [Snowflake Stamp], or the other way around. Currently most of the snowflake stamps that are available on the site are marked with
