Provide a scanner option for pokemon cards to find the market value when selling or adding to your collection
Provide a scanner option for pokemon cards to find the market value when selling or adding to your collection. There are several apps that have this but none of them have a good scanner. Make yours the BEST and profit from it!! I use this site above any others bc of the simplicity and ease to find a cards value. I love how there are no ads and it's free. It's unheard of these days and you guys did it right, thank you so much. It would be so cool though to have a way to simply be able to scan the cards instead of having to take a pic and upload it

So this would be like the photo tool we have now but streamlined because you would just scan the photo automatically and determine the card instead of needing to submit the photo?
Yes! It isn't bad to have to take a pic and upload it, but when uploading lots of cards and trying to figure out the market value it would be so cool to have this as an option! There are some apps that offer it, but none really work, and I use your site as my default everytime bc it's so easy and fast. And free! Would this be a possibility?
Thanks for that feedback. I'll look into this more. It might be easier to streamline the photo submission tool a bit to make that faster, but a scanner could be possible too.
I love your app better than any of the others, including TCG. However, I still have to use TCG some because when I'm scanning a lot of Pokemon Cards, I dont have time or the patience to pick up my phone and manually take the picture. TCG has an automatic scanner, so i just put my phone in a tripod-stand-holder thingy above my desk and slide each card and there is a different audible tone played depending on the value of the card. Slide card, hear tone, slide a new card right behind it. Its about 10x faster than your snap a pic thing. If you had an automatic scanner that worked well, I would never use any other app. Thank you guys so much for all you do.
Thanks for this comment. Very cool idea. Is that app that does it already, TCGPlayer or another app? How do they handle variants like holo, 1st edition, etc. Does the app recognize those differences and provide accurate value?
