I wanted to add that myfigurecollection.net is a great resource for specifically Japanese figures or figures of Japanese IPs and may be worth looking at for inspiration. They are more community focused than value, but they do link to stores with the JAN/UPC code as well as allowing for buying/selling and alerts on the site. They also let users know of bootlegs and what they look like, have a lot of information/photos, and let you track details on your purchases. I personally enjoy all the info and features they have. However, I wish they had the type of price and value tracking that pricecharting does!
