Opened factory sealed pricing

will 3 years ago updated by sales 3 years ago 4

I am looking for price values for ultra rare cib games. The best way I can describe them is "opened factory sealed". I only see 2 or 3 currently on ebay and only 2 or 3 comps. Since eBay only goes back so far, I figured that price charting has an opportunity to give more value to more rare items.

I like voting for ideas that I agree with. And I say the following with all the respect in the world: I really am not sure what you mean here. Can you clarify a bit more? Specifically the "opened factory sealed" part.

+1

So you mean CIB games that are in really good condition as if they were sealed?  We don't track the exact condition of the CIB or Sealed items.  We leave that to grading services to determine those things and we just present the price and sales info based on that.  People using their own self-assessed conditions is really inaccurate in our experience.

here are a few ebay listings that are examples:

Basically, the game was opened very carefully to ensure that the original plastic wrap and tags are still intact. I have a few and the value has not been established. Some say a normally $50 CIB game is worth over $200 because it still has the wrapper around the outside of the box (with original hang tag and price sticker).

Thanks for explaining.  We would consider that CIB.  I don't think these are common enough to track the value separately from CIB or Sealed.  The value is probably somewhere in between.

I'll leave this open to see if lots of other users like the idea though.
